1.4" in the rain gauge and yesterday's wind of 25 mph with gusts to 35 is gone. Just cool....86 Wednesday and only 58 today. I wanted to plant some garden this week but I am holding off until later. Expected low of 37 tonight and another storm followed by 2 nights of 37-39 next week. Then it looks like we will have consistent highs of 70s and 80s and lows 50s and 60s.
Ah, that's a beautiful green view--almost as if you were in Ireland! The rain sounded so good last night and these cooler temps are so welcome today. The last few days felt like late June.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you enjoyed Bryan's house pictures. If you ever move again, to Ponte Vedra Beach or Amelia Island, be sure to call him!
Yes, the green reminds us of Western Oregon. We can enjoy it here without suffering through 6-7 months a year of drizzle!
DeleteWe have some friends in Jacksonville, but they are contemplating a move this way. I doubt that we could afford a house like that!!
Beautiful view! We have another wind advisory today. "25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS OF 50 TO 55 MPH". My plants are all out on the patio, and I've put up a sheet of plastic for some protection, but not sure it will hold up under 55 MPH gusts. I'm getting really sick of this wind!
ReplyDeleteOh I remember those winds! We moved to Moses Lake in 1981 and Mt St Helens ash was still blowing around. I also remember the "Gorge" winds out of the east when we lived in East Vancouver.
DeleteKeep 'er tied down and we'll hope the wind lets up soon!
We were fishing at Badger Lake when it blew, and got stranded in Ritzville. You can read about our adventure at:

What an ordeal! We moved to Moses Lake in Jan 1981, so we heard lots of stories, but yours may top most of them! We also learned quickly not to complain about residual ash, since we were not there when it fell!
